Warm-up ink scribbling before starting Actual Work.

I was watching the Granada series the other day instead of doing something productive (business as usual) so here is Jeremy Brett and his fine, fine eyebrows. #swoon

Can you hear something? Yes, IN SPAIN.
Sadly most of my thoughts during this episode were, “oh hey Alonzo, how’s Captain Jack?” because Doctor Who ruins everything but other than that there were some genuinely creepy moments. Not as visually stunning/well-designed as A Scandal in Belgravia, though—except for the memory palace part, which was very cool. The memory palace/method of loci is a real (and ancient) memory device that works, if you’re curious, as long as you remember where you put the thing that you’re supposed to remember. Also it’s the name of a really good podcast.

Team Moffat & Gatiss must have drawn at least some inspiration from Withnail & I.
Personally my vote’s on Withnail, Sherlock may keep severed heads in the fridge but at least he doesn’t have an Uncle Monty. Uncle Monty is definitely worse than Mycroft.

Water-soluble ink, I’ve missed you. You make everything so moody.
Study for a bigger (and better) piece from a less boring angle and with a less static pose.
Dubious violin because I used my ukulele as reference and didn’t think to google “violin” until after inking. Because I’m a professional.

JOHN, we must solve the case. The case of the INDISTINCT BACKGROUNDS and BORING POSES. This is VERY IMPORTANT.
Oh hang on, I’ve got it. LAZINESS. How tedious.
